The Age of Aquarius

The Age of Aquarius

Boka Waterfall, Slovenia, Europe

In my opinion the Age of Aquarius among other things means a shift in our thinking regarding our freedom. In the former millennium the humanity has fought for freedom. However, it was the famous philosopher and writer Jean-Paul Sartre already who anticipated today’s chaos and confusion, when he affirmed that “Freedom was a heavy burden.”

In my opinion it is only a matter of a shift in our thinking. In the old days we were set limits from the outside. Today we have to set them ourselves, or else we become exhausted from the immense inflow of information, possibilities and externally inserted wishes (for instance commercials telling us what we need or what we wish we had). More freedom means less suffering, but it also means more discipline and work.

I feel like a nag now, but I am sorry – that is the way things are these days. It is the Age of Aquarius and the old concepts of accusing the authorities for our misery are just not working anymore.

You may say I am a dreamer, but I strongly believe that I contribute much more to the well-being of the planet and the human beings on it, if I tell a joke to a neighbor I run into instead of complaining about how the politicians have made another mistake the other day. They will make lots of mistakes, because it is very hard to do the right thing, when the old world is collapsing and we are witnessing a transition to a new age. So I dare you to share love instead of anger and you can find a detailed description of how it can be done in my previous blog.
