Lightworkers

Lightworkers

I came across this expression in a post by Doreen Virtue and I must say that I really like it. It stands for: »… those who volunteered, before birth, to help the planet and its population heal from the effects of fear…« (read more on Doreen Virtues page)

I must say that I like this new expression more than all others I have encountered. Let’s take the term ‘old souls’ for example. It’s O.K. to talk about old souls versus young souls, if one talks about reincarnation of course. The moment one would say: “We old souls …,” it could imply that the old souls are worth more than the young ones. While the expression is only meant to indicate that older souls have been through more lives and are thus more experienced.

Or let’s look closely at the terms ‘high energy people’ versus ‘low energy people’ to name another example. One should be extremely cautious with those two terms as well, especially because of the ‘high’ versus ‘low’ part. I prefer to talk about high energy (truth, compassion, love …) and low energy (lies, greed, fear …) that people become filled with. Let me give you an example.

Instead of saying: “When I come in contact with people that tell lies …”

I prefer to say: “When I come in contact with the energy of lies … I try to detach from this energy.”

Similarly I could say: “I try to protect myself from low energies by avoiding people that are filled with them.”

Implicit in this statement is a possibility that these people will break free from low energies and switch to high energies one day. If I used the term ‘low energy people’ on the other hand, this would imply that there is no solution for them.

When using the term ‘lightworkers’, on the other hand, one does not divide people into two categories. The term simply implies that some individuals have some work to do. They are trying to rebalance light versus darkness. After all, all they are is: workers.

The golden age does not mean a world without problems. It merely suggests that we will have more light and less darkness, more love and less fear, more compassion and less greed. According to the concept of yin-yang there will always be both: light and darkness. Yet many spiritual teachers believe that these days the levels of darkness are too high. Lightworkers have simply come to rebalance the yin and yang. Just like an electrician would come to repair your electricity installation in your home.

Take care,
