Let me give you an example. A hundred years ago parents were very strict, beating their kids was a normal thing to do. Yet there were exceptions – parents that showed their offspring love and not just strictness.
Nowadays we have another trend – spoiling the kids by giving them only love and no strictness, no rules, no limitations. Yet today, as well, there are parents, who manage to abide to the Aristotle’s golden middle rule by giving their children strictness and not just love.
Trying to reach the golden middle is like walking on a rope. One has to keep balance all the time. Thus, being moderate means a life-long process, which is not very popular nowadays, when the majority is looking for instant solutions, so they would have more time to watch TV.
Take care,
