Every year all the Christmas variety
Gave me nothing but anxiety.
Nasty memories from previous lives
Always gave me bad Yule vibes.
Then, last year it was,
When another idea became my boss.
Christmas was no longer to be the rule
Winter solstice aspiring to be the new Yule.
I owe it all to my friend C. C.
She made it all possible to me.
She gave me the idea of the Solstice of Winter
To be more than a calendar splinter.
Thus, this year I make it my shrine
To put sun on the spruce top to shine.
Light a candle the scent of vanilla,
While slowly sipping a sweet wine.
It’s winter solstice – let’s be...

I send out a prayer for the world,
A lot of Love in my humble word.
A prayer for those in power
To save many a flower,
To preserve the birds and the bees,
And plant a myriad of trees.
A prayer for food, school and medical care,
Which among everyone we should share.
A prayer for understanding and compassion,
Which should replace the conflict passion.
A prayer for a plastic bag to stay out of the sea,
For a healthy apple to grow on a cared-for tree.
A prayer for a tear on a child’s cheek to dry,
For the mother to always have food to fry.
A prayer for the father to be of great help,
For him to hear the...

When it is freshly found,
it is like a sprout shooting from the ground.
No matter how hard at first it seems,
the fears burst like a bubble in dreams.
A passion burning is all one can feel
and to the greatness of it one will kneel.
When the sprout becomes a plant
and can see from one to the other end,
many unpleasant hues come to sight.
The passion ceases to make everything bright.
This is the point of making it or breaking,
patience is the answer in times of angry shaking.
Soon they both become sure of one thing:
each their own luggage from the past did bring.
They can either help each other...

Do you ever take the road less travelled? Or do you always do what the majority of people do, because it is easier?
It is easier to read many books on meditation and even lecture about it than to actually develop a habit to meditate daily.
It is easier to write a book on compassion than to actually be compassionate. Of course it is not difficult to be compassionate to visitors for that one hour they stay at our place. But let’s try to be compassionate to the partner, when we come home from work totally tired and (s)he has forgotten it is our anniversary.
It is easier to preach to teenagers about a...

The basic characteristic of the age of Aquarius is the fact that one should be the change one wants to see in the world. Today we can see an interesting paradox. On one hand the old institutions and isms that were so typical of the old age of Pisces show more and more malfunction and corruption. Yet the media still give the majority of publishing space to them, because we are all used to think that changes come from the top. On the other hand there are numerous bloggers and independent newsletters that write about saving the planet and the people on it, about re-introducing universal human values and...
