If you have examined your wishes according to my previous blogs, you are probably able to cross some of them out and thus reduce stress in your life. Let me point out two more things about wishes in my last blog this year.
Firstly, sometimes one shares a wish with someone else. For example a couple may wish for a child. That is easy. But what if one wants a child and the partner does not want to be a parent. Sometimes time solves such dilemmas, sometimes a coincidence, some couples might even break up. It is a tough case. But there are easier ones too. Let’s take holidays for example. He wants to go...

Has my last blog maybe inspired you to write down your wishes and think about them? Do you find you could abandon some wishes in order to reduce stress in your life? Mind your basic needs and your responsibilities towards other people of course. You probably should not cross out your “wish to eat healthy food”, for in my opinion this is our basic need. Similarly you probably should not cross out your wish to be a reliable employee or a reliable employer, for this is our responsibility, not our wish.

About two weeks ago I overheard a conversation in a small local grocery store. A man asked the saleswoman: “Do you keep the large packages of hand dishwashing detergent?”
The saleswoman replied: “No, we only have the small ones.”
The man took his time to think and then said: “Well, I will take two small packages then.”
The saleswoman diligently brought two packages to the counter without saying anything, but the man felt he should explain his ‘odd’ wish: “It is going to snow, you know. I live up in the hills on a solitary farm. Once the snow covers the steep road, I am cut away from...

There are a lot of methods of dream interpretation – I use the Phyllis Krystal method. In this method we assign special importance to reoccurring dreams. I have been having a very unpleasant dream for over a decade. It appears in slight variations, but the core story is always the same: I pack my bags, for I am leaving some place for good (moving to another town). I find it very hard to leave things at the place where I used to live. They are always some very old and completely useless things like old clothes I will never wear again or old newspapers, sometimes even some rotten food. So I keep...

In my previous blog I wrote about the last session of Phyllis Krystal Method training program in October 2010. I described a ritual that we did at the seminar. First we examined the problematic roles that we play in our lives in one meditation. In another meditation we cut the ties to the most problematic role. Those who have read my previous blog probably remember that I cut the ties to the role of a people pleaser.
May I add that we were really diligent in October. We did another cutting of the ties at the same session of Phyllis Krystal Method training program. Firstly, we examined our bad habits in...
