There goes a caressing autumn breeze.
Shorter days calm our hearths and the bees.
The miracle of brighter red hues
When the sky has the cloudy blues.
The contrast of reddish-brown leaves
To the dark grey clay under our heals.
Green overgrown façades turning red –
What placating places to go to bed.
Spring and summer blossoms
Give the palette of thousands of shades,
While autumn’s tints are mellow –
The sisters of orange, red and yellow.
The stern defiance of the river
Despite the changes even to quiver.

Every Friday I clean the bathroom and the floor in our little one-room-apartment. It takes a while to remove everything from the floor, vacuum-clean and wipe it. I also clean shoes before vacuuming the flat. After that I clean the bath-tub, the toilet and the sink. In addition to that I wipe all door-knobs and the handles on the bathroom cabinet and on the kitchen cupboards. Being a bit obsessive-compulsive about the cleaning process it takes me two hours to do all that. There are also pauses included in these two hours, for I have to rest in between due to low blood-pressure.

Men have ruled the world for thousands of years and in the last centuries women seem to be taking over. They are doctors, college professors, NASA engineers etc. There are still more men than women in politics, but even that can change. We all know that. What we do not know is, why men have been dominant for so long. There are several scientific theories answering this question, but none of them convincing.
