Recently, I have come across an author who writes 5 books a year (Jerry Jenkins). I must say I am on the other side of the pole here – I write 1 book in 5 years. I have finally realized that comparison with others will get me nowhere. I have also no intention of fighting the so called writer’s block. I will write when inspired and no other way. Of course I must add that I am not making my living by writing. I am a financially (and emotionally!) supported wife. The list goes on and on. I have to clean this and that additionally. I have to protect my social network profiles. I have to reduce the spam in my e-mail accounts. I cannot include in a blog-post or, God forbid, in a book something, which would have a bad effect on the reader. I must be very precise in recycling the garbage. I remember parts of conversations with people and I go over and over them after the meeting to make sure I could not have done any damage by my words. The list goes on and on.

It may seem like a language problem to you, but I find it a basic concept of the new age psychology and philosophy. It is all about stopping to be childish and grow up on one hand. On the other hand, we are advised to retain some child-characteristic traits and remain childlike as adults.
What does it mean to quit being childish? Please feel free to correct me and to add items I have forgotten, while I try to mention as many as possible. One point of growing up would definitely be to take responsibility for one’s actions and words. The other, in my opinion, is to learn how to control our feelings....

A few times a week I have my lunch in a local restaurant just to break up my lonely writer routine of staying inside all the time. Sometimes I run into people I know, sometimes not, it depends. I let my socializing be a coincidence instead of assuring I would have company by calling people up and setting a date. I do not even own a mobile phone, thus I am extremely easy-going in this respect. It is probably the only aspect of my life, in which I am so unconcerned.
So, the other day I ran into my neighbor, who is deaf from birth, but very well educated. She reads a lot and likes to solve crossword...
